Chekas United Football Club is a fast-growing football academy and competitive team based in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. Built on discipline, passion, and a strong commitment to discovering young football talents into professional athletes.

The club was founded by Hon. FWD. Sir Chekwube Uzoegbo, a respected businessman in the shipping industry and a passionate supporter of youth and sports development.

Operating under the Badagry Division Football Association, Chekas United has secured promotion into the Nationwide League One — a historic step confirming the club's ambition and quality.

Since establishment in 2020, Chekas United FC has consistently developed talented players while competing at a high level across Nigerian grassroots football.

Under the leadership of chairman FWR. Chekwube E. Uzoegbo — also Patron of the Badagry Football Association — the club has built a reputation for competitive football and player excellence.

Chekas United FC were officially awarded a 3–0 victory over Tonic FC by the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) following crowd violence and a pitch invasion during their league fixture at the Nigerian Navy Barracks, Lagos.

Before the disruption, the match had been fiercely contested and was level at 1–1. Chekas United showed composure and tactical discipline, matching Tonic FC in every department.

The game took a dramatic turn when supporters of Tonic FC invaded the pitch, causing chaos. Chekas United player Bright Nwachukwu was assaulted and sustained injuries requiring medical treatment.

The NLO Disciplinary Committee ruled in favour of Chekas United, awarding a 3–0 win. Tonic FC were fined ₦500,000 for crowd misconduct, ₦100,000 for Bright's medical treatment, and their manager Mr. Gbenga was suspended.
